Parent of A-Level Student
My son gained almost two grades higher than his year 13 mock paper. His tutor was excellent.
Our Leicester A-Level tutors lift predicted grades by a band, sometimes two. Most students start in Year 12, ahead of the mocks that fix what UCAS eventually sees.

FROM A YEAR 13 MOCK TO A CLEAN A
Across Leicester the pattern in Year 12 is familiar: a student who cruised to strong GCSEs meets A-Level and finds the depth expected has doubled overnight. Results in the city sit around the national picture, though that average hides how fast a comfortable student can drift. A Leicester A-Level tutor closes that depth gap before Year 12 mocks harden into a predicted grade.

The Degree Gap has exceeded all my expectations. They have gone above and beyond to pair both my sons with the appropriate tutors, all of whom have been exceptional. Both my sons exceeded their expected grades in their GCSEs and A Levels and got into their first choice universities. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

First session is a diagnostic on a recent paper. The tutor works out whether the gap is content, the A2 topics building on shaky A1 foundations, or the explain-and-evaluate marks where students who nail the calculation still lose ground. From there the plan rebuilds back from wherever the real gap starts.
Yes. Those schemes screen on predicted grades and UCAS points, so the tutoring lifts a student into the band the more competitive engineering and space routes ask for. The founders also share guidance on the application itself, drawing on real experience of helping families weigh an apprenticeship against a university place.
The predicted grade comes off Year 12 work, so the earlier we start, the more room there is to move it. A tutor targets where the marks are actually leaking, usually the depth and evaluation at the top of a paper, and rebuilds it before predictions harden. Starting in Year 12 gives the most runway.
From £37 per hour, with the rate set by the subject and the tutor and agreed before booking. Most Leicester families run a weekly hour through Year 12, then add a second ahead of the Year 13 mocks that set UCAS predictions.
