What Follows A-Levels for Leicester's Year 13s
Leicester's Year 13s take three broad routes once results come through.
Universities
The University of Leicester and De Montfort University keep a lot of the city’s leavers close to home, while Loughborough and Nottingham draw the ones after a Russell Group place. The more competitive courses ask for grades near the top of the A-Level band, which is where the Year 12 depth work pays off.
Degree Apprenticeships
The University of Leicester runs a space systems degree apprenticeship built with Airbus at Space Park, and Caterpillar takes on higher apprentices across engineering. Each sets its own predicted-grade requirements, with the more competitive routes asking near the top of the A-Level range.
